Students to select subjects to the value of 75 credit points from the list below or any Level five Gerontology subject in consultation with the coordinator of the Gerontology major.
Critically analyse contemporary theories, models and research evidence related to ageing and aged care

Evaluate the impact of policies, programs and strategies upon healthy older people and the frail elderly by a skilled application of research evidence

Develop evidence-based policies and strategies that address specific issues in gerontology

Critically examine current and future trends in ageing and aged care to discuss implications for the health and wellbeing of ageing individuals and populations

Apply reflective practice, expert judgment and advanced knowledge in the practice of gerontology

Explore and analyse wider health care issues, settings and practices, and identify practice implications for gerontology
