Overview

Prepare to help your community with La Trobe’s Associate Degree in Health Sciences. If you want to maximise your chance of securing entry level jobs in health services and organisations, we can give you the skills and knowledge you need. You’ll study the same core health subjects as our Bachelor’s degree students, in addition to the core subjects for the major/s of your choice at Year 1 and Year 2 levels.  We’ll be with you every step on the way. As an Associate Degree student, you’ll be able to access a dedicated Senior Support Adviser and peer mentors from health degrees. Our team can help you with career advice, academic support and navigating university processes. You can also access La Trobe’s Careers Service to put together a plan for the future, with the skills to carry it out.

To qualify for the award of Associate Degree of Health Sciences, students must complete 240 credit points as follows:

60 core credit points

180 elective credit points
