In this course students will learn to create modern software programs with expertise in software engineering. They’ll build skills across algorithms and data structures, full stack web development, user interface design, measurement and testing principles, and cloud-based web and mobile applications. After successful completion of the program, students are expected to be able to:
- Create software application design with the implementation of database system principal design to solve structured and semi-structured data.
- Design software application solutions based on problem analysis which can be solved with structured approach in informatics area.
- Assess technology trends in informatics area to deliver alternative solutions in software development.
- Develop creative and impactful software products and services, including but not limited to computer networks and security and games technology.
- Apply principles related to computing that is needed in problem solving practice.
- Communicate and utilise the latest trends in technology to contribute in the global workforce.
- Acquire skills and knowledge needed to design and implement various computer networking environments using different security techniques and routing theories to produce secured and robust networks.
- Acquire the necessary skills to design and develop game applications by combining technology with creative art and design concepts to produce exceptional game applications that are able to run in multi-platform environments.
- Apply the 6 key skills (self-management, planning and organising, team work, problem-solving, decision making, initiative and enterprise) and a foreign language, as well as using information technology, to contribute productively to the workplace and society.
This is an offshore program with BINUS offering curriculum for the final 180 credit points of Latrobe Univeristy's Bachelor of Computer Science (Software Engineering) to BINUS students studying Bachelor of Information Systems (B IS) or Bachelor of Computer Science (B CS). Upon completion of an equivalent of 360 credit points, students would graduate with a Bachelor of Computer Science (Software Engineering) conferred by LTU and after a further 6 months of study at BINUS, they would graduate with a B IS or B CS conferred by BINUS.
