In this subject you will take an inquiry based approach to motivate a rich and deep appreciation of how economic principles and frameworks can be used to analyse our world and to inform policymakers. You will cover a range of trends that are shaping modern society such as: scarcity and choices; the capitalist revolution; technological change; population growth and economic growth; economics and the environment; the firm and its customers; and a study of markets and their complexities. You will gain an understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of various approaches to economic problems, and an appreciation of the relationship of economics to other disciplines.
Capstones provide students with a way of integrating and applying knowledge and skills gained throughout their course.
