On successful completion you will be able to:

Analyse system/network security and identify security flaws in a system/network.
2.
Analyse cryptographic algorithms (encryption, hash functions, digital signature, key exchange etc. and the underlying mathematical structures.

Identify and investigate ethical and social considerations relevant to information privacy and security issues.
4.
Critically review and analyse the operation of firewalls and intrusion detection systems to improve threat detection.
5.
Analyse system/network vulnerabilities to improve network design.
6.
Analyse system/network vulnerability and design access control mechanisms
