Subject intended learning outcomes

On successful completion you will be able to:

Critically analyse the causes and prevalence of wellness issues for students in schools and assess how they may influence learning
2.
Analyse the influences that various challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression and bullying may have on learning
3.
Explain and justify whole school approaches to mental health and well-being and model the role that critical reflection may have in classroom management
4.
Evaluate school policies, resources and processes to address the well-being needs of the students and to inform and propose future actions to improve school responsiveness
5.
Examine the principles that underpin relational agency in schools and classrooms and determine how those principles may inform pedagogy and learning for student who have experienced well-being issues.
