Subject intended learning outcomes

On successful completion you will be able to:

Analyse written and visual sources from various historical perspectives to construct meanings of the past that also facilitate a better understanding of the present.
2.
Identify and assimilate sources, lines of argument, and evidence on topics related to Brazil and the Amazon.
3.
Use historiography to interrogate the connection between the destruction of the Amazon and economic development.
4.
Apply knowledge of Brazil's history to better understand Development, Culture and the Amazon.
