In this subject, students will examine the legal, ethical and regulatory issues unique to new and emerging technologies that incorporate artificial intelligence, such as internet governance, compliance by design, and the overlap of artificial intelligence and intellectual property law. Students will also be encouraged to discover and develop the skill set necessary to critically analyse the potential for civil and/or criminal liability relating to emerging technologies.

Develop and articulate expert knowledge of the legal, business, ethical and technology issues unique to artificial intelligence and emerging technologies

Effectively and astutely communicate with non-specialist audiences complex knowledge, skills and ideas relating to artificial intelligence, emerging technologies and law.

Critically reflect on a range of approaches taken in a given fact situation to protect a clients new AI venture.
