Subject intended learning outcomes

On successful completion you will be able to:

Contribute to the development and implementation of effective management policies for heritage places.
2.
Identify, assess and document a variety of places of cultural heritage significance
3.
Outline the principles and legislation that guide heritage conservation practice in Australia and particularly Victoria
4.
Understand current issues in cultural heritage management including social, cultural and ethical issues associated with heritage.
5.
Use fieldwork techniques and research to document and interpret the social, historical, contemporary and environmental contextual setting of heritage places and sites.

Requisite rules

Prerequisite: 120 credit points of PLA/GEG subjects of Undergraduate Planning course or enrolment in any Postgraduate course or course coordinator approval.
