Subject intended learning outcomes

On successful completion you will be able to:
1.
Describe how plants function and identify the ways in which environmental factors can influence plant physiology and growth
2.
Describe the basic terminology of plant morphology, taxonomy and physiology
3.
Apply physiological processes of plant growth to a plant production system for a selected crop, pasture or vineyard
4.
Produce and present plans to manage plant nutrition using language suitable for a professional audience

Learning activities

Using lecture material, practical workshop sessions and group discussion students will apply their knowledge to design a nutritional plan for a production system. This nutritional plan will be incorporated into the management plan developed by each student.

Employability module activity. Students will investigate employment option and the requirements for their job of choice.
