On successful completion you will be able to:
1.
Develop a solid knowledge and understanding of the stages of human development over the life span, particularly as a framework for understanding the lived experience of people in Australian society.
2.
Analyse life span development from class, ethnicity and race, ability, lifestyle, gender and sexual preference points of view, and their impact on human development and the different experiences of individuals and families through the life cycle
3.
Demonstrate an understanding of social work practice implications of normative and non-normative development
4.
Demonstrate a preliminary understanding of Intergenerational relations by looking at the interaction of population groups.

Learning activities

You will engage in a range of activities including workshops, online learning modules/activities, quizzes and written reports designed to achieve and assess your performance in alignment with the subject’s intended learning outcomes. You will receive timely feedback (formal and informal) about your performance on these activities to support your learning.
