Apply principles of Building Information Modelling (BIM and related application to construction processes.

Apply digital principles of 3D integrated modelling technology for various construction processes
3.
Critically analyse complex environment requirements and simulate processes for the design and construction using BIM
4.
Work efficiently and effectively as a member of a team to evaluate and appraise the potential of BIM to develop cost and program schedules.

Learning activities

The fundamental concepts and theories are explained and discussed in the lectures. Workshops are used to consolidate the knowledge and practice the applications of taught theories. Labs are used to reinforce the hands-on aspects of the subject. There are two individual assessment tasks, and two group assessment tasks.

Prerequisites: Students must be admitted in the following course: SMCEM, SMCEMB. students in LMEM may enrol in this subject with subject coordinator approval
