Subject intended learning outcomes

On successful completion you will be able to:
1.
Demonstrate through a critical review of the literature, knowledge of the economics discipline relevant to the directed reading topic and which, when applied with theory learned in other core subjects, will enable the student to undertake an analysis and propose an informed solution relevant to the topic.
2.
Demonstrate a capacity to apply relevant knowledge from the discipline of economics to undertake analysis and synthesise solutions to the problems posed by the topic.
3.
Demonstrate oral presentation skills relevant to an academic forum on the topic.
4.
Demonstrate writing skills necessary to communicate their review of the literature and analysis of the topic and synthesis of solutions to academic economist readers.
