Subject intended learning outcomes

On successful completion you will be able to:

Speak at an intermediate level on general and specific topics in intermediate to advanced Japanese
2.
Read and write at an intermediate level, learn 96 new kanji and recognise a total of approximately 900 kanji.
3.
Participate in pair and group work both in and outside of lectures.
4.
Communicate using all for key areas of the target language: speaking, listening, reading and writing
5.
Gain a socio-linguistic and socio-cultural understanding of Japan through critical engagement and development of arguments of issues in contemporary Japanese society
