Subject intended learning outcomes

On successful completion you will be able to:

Plan, deliver and evaluate projects in an area of interest in public health, health promotion or health services management.

Identify and analyse issues in health policy, provision or management to develop, evaluate and recommend potential solutions.

Interpret and apply the ethical responsibilities and duties of care health practitioners have to participants and their data

Solve complex problems in the delivery of workplace projects.
5.
Reflect critically on their own professional practice and provide insight and feedback to colleagues.
6.
Design and implement an evidence based project, including data analysis and reporting of findings.
7.
Present project results and conclusions through business reports and academic papers, formal verbal presentations, academic posters, and articles for publication

Requisite rules

Prerequisites: Students must be admitted in one of the following courses: HMPHC, HMHA, HMHADE, HZPHHA, HZPHID, HZHPHID, HZMBHA, HZMBHO, HMHS, HMERGD. Students must also have completed the core and foundation for their respective degrees (120 credit points) prior to enrolment in this capstone subject or with the Subject Coordinator's approval. Students should have previously completed PHE5PDE (i.e. in the previous year) or alternately be scheduled to complete the subject concurrent with the second semester of study alongside PHE5ALS. If this condition is met there is no need for subject coordinator approval.
