This subject will extend students’ knowledge of the interpersonal and communication concepts and skills required in academic and health science contexts. Students will develop their speaking and listening skills in a range of situations. Oral presentation and academic writing skills will be further developed in workshops around awareness of self and others, and the role of cultural difference in communication. Students will explore professional communication skills required in interactions with clients applicable to a range of health service settings, and further develop their skills in online environments.
Capstones provide students with a way of integrating and applying knowledge and skills gained throughout their course.
