Subject intended learning outcomes

On successful completion you will be able to:

Critically evaluate theories of economic growth and development and their applications to the analysis of developing countries in a global context

Analyse and evaluate the linkages between determinants and outcomes of economic growth and development, such as education, inequality, poverty and environmental sustainability

Plan and produce an economic research report that examines the economic development of a low income country

Use economic principles and research skills in a collaborative team environment to solve complex problems and communicate the findings to people with various viewpoints
