Subject intended learning outcomes

On successful completion you will be able to:

Effectively apply health classification skills in medical record interpretation and clinical abstraction within a timeframe that aligns with health industry expectations.

Apply clinical coding auditor and clinical documentation improvement specialist skills in communicating with stakeholders for coding quality assurance.
3.
Apply internal clinical coding auditing processes to identify factors that impact upon the quality and reliability of coded data.
4.
Identify and analyse coding errors and select records for audit using knowledge of the classification system and funding model.
