The ability to make persuasive legal argument is a core skill for all legal practitioners, whether inside or outside a courtroom. This subject will introduce you to advocacy and will build your skills as oral and written advocates. Topics covered will include the role of advocacy in an adversarial system, the trajectory of a case through the national and/or international courts and tribunals and the core skills required of advocates. You will have the opportunity to develop oral and written advocacy skills through in class exercises and assessment.
