Subject intended learning outcomes

On successful completion you will be able to:

Identify, analyse and critically reflect on the various forms of international dispute settlement
2.
Demonstrate knowledge of the processes and principles by which international dispute settlement bodies are created and the application of their governing rules.
3.
Critically assess key cases issued by various dispute settlement bodies and the dispute settlement mechanisms behind them.
4.
Demonstrate an advanced understanding of the treaties, conventions and statutes relevant to international dispute settlement.
5.
Identify and critically analyse at an advanced level issues including future trends relating to international dispute settlement

Learning activities

Individual student reading of primary and secondary materials, class discussions to clarify and evaluate materials, assessment tasks.
