Subject intended learning outcomes

On successful completion you will be able to:

Apply theoretical frameworks for understanding the lived experience of people to the stages of human development across the lifespan, recognising the cultural and environmental influences on human development.
2.
Apply relational theories relevant to First Nations people and other cultural groups to define family, attachment, healing, self-agency, resilience and relatedness.
3.
Apply a critical social work perspective, including the tensions between social care, social control, and social change to trauma-informed practice.
4.
Apply knowledge of the concepts of trauma, loss and grief, attachment, and resilience to describe their impact on the life course of individuals, families and communities with particular reference to age, class and gender.
