In this subject, you will build on work done at the start of your degree and consolidate your understanding of dietetics as a profession and what it means to practice professionally as a dietitian. Specific topics covered will include professional practice, ethics, entrepreneurship, leadership, management, working in teams, navigating processes for setting up your own business in dietetics, applying for and performing in work roles, and advanced emotional regulation, self-care and burnout prevention, identification and management. You will finalise your competency portfolio to demonstrate how you have achieved each of the National Competency Standards for Dietitians in Australia, prepare a job application for a new graduate role, and develop a group business plan.
