Subject intended learning outcomes

On successful completion you will be able to:
1.
Critically analyse a statistically estimated model of economic or financial relationship.
2.
Demonstrate an understanding of statistical formulas and apply them to specific example.
3.
Use a statistical software package to estimate a model using economic and financial data and carry out and hypothesis tests.
4.
Demonstrate an understanding of the properties of good estimators, the Gauss-Markov Theorem and the assumptions required.
5.
Effectively communicate the results of the model estimation.
