In this subject you will examine the main characteristics of contemporary management practice and theory, and its importance to the ethical, efficient and effective operation of modern organisations. You will investigate the various organisation design options and draw on theoretical models, academic research and current thinking to determine the factors that influence the selection of an appropriate organisational design and management model for competitive advantage and sustainability. You will be guided by global and local case studies and organisational design principles to illustrate the practical application of people and operational management, and advance your analytical and management skills.
