Subject intended learning outcomes

On successful completion you will be able to:
1.
Assemble appropriate elements of style, genre and narrative to devise and propose a long form concept for a performance text, film script or television series.
2.
Construct a coherent and compelling long form narrative expressed in language consistent with the conventions used in storylines, scene breakdowns, synopses and treatments in theatre, film and television production.
3.
Synthesise narrative elements and apply appropriate conventions of form and layout to create a coherent and compelling segment of a performance text, film or television screenplay.
4.
Analyse and evaluate a script, identify its problems and suggest solutions for a redraft.
