Subject intended learning outcomes

On successful completion you will be able to:

Develop an understanding of ecological, social and cultural knowledge related to selected river environments.
2.
Critically examine personal, group and safety experiences in river environments.
3.
Establish technical paddling competence on flat water (Grade 1) or white water (Grade 2).
4.
Perform self-rescue, basic rescue of others, and equipment recovery on flat water (Grade 1) or white water (Grade 2).
