On successful completion you will be able to:

Describe the principles underpinning the standard paramedic approach to an incident and implement appropriate measures to simulated patients in correct sequence.
2.
Recognise potential hazards at simulated paramedic response scenes and describe techniques to eliminate or minimise these hazards
3.
Determine the physiological status of a range of simulated patients through demonstrated correct use of standard assessment techniques.
4.
Describe, provide a rationale for, and implement appropriate airway and unconscious patient management techniques for simulated patients in a variety of settings.
5.
Describe the legalities relating to consent and assumed consent for different patient presentations and circumstances.
