Subject intended learning outcomes

On successful completion you will be able to:
1.
Integrate and apply social work theory and knowledge when undertaking an assessment, intervention, interview or occasion of service in complex social work practice situations.
2.
Critically analyse and describe personal knowledge, skills, beliefs and values as they relate to one's own future social work practice and determine areas for further development in direct social work practice with individuals and families.
3.
Apply social work knowledge and skills to demonstrate well-developed judgement, knowledge adaptability and responsibility as a social worker

Learning activities

Learning activities include: Weekly reading materials and lectures and in-depth class/group discussion – completion of on-line activities in preparation for workshops each week, in-class role plays.
