Subject intended learning outcomes

On successful completion you will be able to:
1.
Integrate theoretical knowledge about diagnostic pure tone audiometric assessment techniques to generate sound clinical hypotheses.
2.
Integrate theoretical knowledge about tympanometry, acoustic reflex testing and speech audiometry assessment techniques to generate sound clinical hypotheses.
3.
Accurately determine the nature and level of hearing impairment diagnostic test results.
4.
Clearly report complex audiological problems and proposed solutions based on test results.
5.
Develop appropriate management plans and referral pathways based on professional knowledge and test results.

Prerequisites: Students must be admitted in one of the following course codes: HZHCCA and must have passed HCS2IAA, HCS3IHB and HCS3PCA; OR must be admitted in HMAUD and no other rule applies.
