In this subject you will explore a number of key topics specific to Relationships and Sexuality Education, including gender and sexual identity, diversity and inclusion in relation to sexuality, the sexual health of individuals, sexual ethics, respectful relationships and consent.
Major approaches to teaching Relationships and Sexuality Education in primary and secondary schools are examined and critiqued. You will develop your own evidence-based pedagogical positions in relation to Relationships and Sexuality Education, using their positions to inform and design teaching and learning experiences against relevant elements of Health and Physical Education curricula.
