Subject intended learning outcomes

On successful completion you will be able to:
1.
Investigate communication and swallowing by applying cognitive, communicative and observational skills and demonstrating knowledge of both typical and pathological function.
2.
Complete elements of speech, language and swallowing assessments, analyse and interpret assessment data with support, applying theory to develop clinical hypotheses.
3.
Incorporate theory and clinical observations into planning and delivery of ethically sound, evidence based intervention with maximal support.
4.
Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to implement, evaluate and document intervention with a high level of support.
5.
Manage professional workload with increasing autonomy and accountability through the placement
6.
Reflect critically on own performance, responding to feedback and actively seeking to increase knowledge base and skillset in speech pathology practice.
