Subject intended learning outcomes

On successful completion you will be able to:

Analyse clinical documentation and interpret and apply Australian Coding Standards, Conventions and ratified advice to accurately classify diseases and interventions at an intermediate level.
2.
Evaluate clinical information to inform clinical documentation improvement.
3.
Work collaboratively on internal quality control practices for health classification.
4.
Apply Australian Coding Standards, Conventions and ratified advice at a level of expertise and within timeframes that align with industry expectations.
5.
Assess pertinent information within the clinical record to generate the accurate Diagnostic-Related Group (DRG) and National Weighted Activity Unit (NWAU) for health classification purposes.
