Subject intended learning outcomes

On successful completion you will be able to:

Illustrate the ways in which consumers interact with the health care system to meet individual needs
2.
Examine how individual and social factors shape and determine people's experience of health, illness and disability in different parts of the world
3.
Appraise contemporary developments in global, national, and regional health and wellbeing including the role of nurses and collaborative practice
4.
Explain the principles of patient and personal safety and their relevance to health professional practice
5.
Explore how health standards influence care quality and patient outcomes including NSQHS and Aged Care Quality Standards

Learning activities

Subject content will be delivered via blended learning, using the LMS with embedded learning material and lectures, and face to face workshops and lab classes.
