In this subject, you will explore research methods, statistical analysis and data science techniques specific to sport and exercise science. You will be taught various research designs and statistical approaches that will allow you to interpret data to apply results in a practical environment. The subject will teach you how to perform various data handling techniques, develop statistical models and data visualisation techniques to interpret data in sport and exercise context.
Capstones provide students with a way of integrating and applying knowledge and skills gained throughout their course.

Use research databases to access peer-reviewed scientific literature and conduct searches to identify relevant information.

Appraise research methods and reports, including statistical results to understand methodological and ethical aspects of research, and integrate this knowledge into all areas of exercise science practice.

Select and apply basic data analysis techniques appropriate to exercise science subdisciplines.
