Subject intended learning outcomes

On successful completion you will be able to:

Examine factors that drive the promotion of health products and treatments, question the plausibility of these claims, and understand the importance of evidence-based healthcare
2.
Identify psychological characteristics and reasoning fallacies that contribute to our susceptibility to believe non-evidence based health claims.
3.
Communicate effectively and with respect for diversity in opinions to explain complex concepts in understanding evidence-based health.
4.
Effectively search for evidence of the effects of a health product or treatment and evaluate the presence of characteristics that are necessary for a fair test of effectiveness.
